When you get married, there’s a part of the ceremony which involves you and your soon to be spouse giving your wedding vows to each other. This is usually the part of the wedding where you declare that you’re going to stay with each other forever. Writing these vows is a part of every wedding, but not everyone is entirely sure how best to do it. To try and remedy this, we’re taking a look at a few tips for actually writing your wedding vows.

Read other people’s vows for some inspiration

When it comes to writing out your vows, there’s usually a list of things you should and should not include. There are loads of vows out there available for you to look at, just in case you need some inspiration for what to say or how to word a particular feeling. Of course, there’s no merit to copying what another person has said, because each vow will be unique to you, but you can alter a metaphor you like to suit the vows you’re writing or take inspiration from an individual quote to use for your vows.
